BURLEIGH HEADS, Queensland/Australia (Saturday, 28 January, 2012) – It’s the second last day of the event waiting period but the call has been made to finish the event today. That means before the day is through we will be crowning the men’s and women’s ASP World Junior Champions and The Billabong World Junior Championships event winners.

“Conditions are pretty similar to yesterday, and tomorrow doesn’t look so good with north winds predicted, so we’re going to finish today,” Contest Director Luke Egan said. “We’re going to start by running the men’s event all the way through, then we’re going to do the same with the girls. The Finals will running right after the high tide which has seen the best surf throughout this event, so we should finish in good waves.”

Every heat of the Billabong World Junior Championships Gold Coast will be webcast live via www.billabongpro.com
